Dante Alighieri Society of Western Australia

The Dante Alighieri Society of Western Australia is a non profit, non political organisation for all people who share a keen interest in the Italian culture and language.

 

Our Mission

The Mission of the Dante Alighieri Society of WA is to offer cultural programs that promote a deeper understanding of Italy and its rich cultural heritage and to  promote the study of the Italian language in Western Australia through its Community School of Italian.

 

Our Objectives

The Dante Alighieri Society of Western Australia’s aims are:

  • To promote and foster mutual friendly relationships amongst local people of Italian and non Italian origin, who share a common interest in the Italian culture and language.
  • To support a regular forum for the spreading of the knowledge of Italian arts and general culture.
  • To enable Italian and local people enrolled in the School of Italian “Dante Alighieri” to reach basic, intermediate and advanced communicative skills in Italian.

2024 Program

Cineforum Dante is a monthly screening night held at various venues around Perth.

 

The event features a selection of epic Italian films that capture the history, culture, and essence of Italy through rich imagery, unforgettable characters, and captivating storytelling. 

 

Each film offers a cinematic journey that connects audiences to Italy’s heritage

 

All movies are shown in Italian with English subtitles, making them accessible to both Italian speakers and those who want to explore the language and culture.
